Daybook: privacy

Last updated 2 October 2026

What Daybook reads

When you install Daybook it asks Shopify for two read-only permissions, read_orders and read_locations. Once Shopify approves it, Daybook will also ask for read_all_orders, which lets it read orders older than the last 60 days; you will be asked to approve that before it applies to your store.

With them Daybook reads the money on your orders and the locations they belong to:

Daybook does not read customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses, and it does not ask for the permission that would let it read your customers.

What Daybook stores

Daybook stores no customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses. It holds no customer data of any kind.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling Daybook deletes the access token as soon as Shopify tells Daybook the app was uninstalled. When Shopify then sends its request to erase your shop's data, Daybook deletes everything else it holds for your shop. Because Daybook holds no customer data, a request about one of your customers has nothing to return and nothing to delete.

Who else is involved

Cloudflare hosts Daybook and stores what is listed above. Shopify is the source of the data and bills for the app. Daybook does not sell or share your data, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking service.

Cloudflare has in the past inserted its own analytics script into pages it serves. These pages refuse every script, so if that happens your browser blocks it before it runs. That is why this page says it is blocked rather than that it is never there.
